Staff Surveyor / Land Survey Intern

T-O Engineer, an Ardurra Company is seeking Staff Surveyors/Land Survey Interns to join our Cody, WY Survey Group.

Required Qualifications

• LSI Certificate required
• Strong knowledge of boundary, construction, and topographic surveying
• Have a good understanding of construction plans and subdivision plats
• Ability to draft Subdivision Plats, Records of Survey, ALTAs and boundary descriptions
• Strong skills using AutoCAD/Civil3D and Trimble Business Center
• Experience with GPS receivers and controllers as well as Robotic total stations
• Demonstrate willingness, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather as well as in a professional office environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Personal appearance must be clean and professional
• Self-motivated, team-oriented individual with the ability to work on challenging projects in a team environment

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating daily crew tasks and assignments
• Review and complete project tasks and timelines
• Perform project research and set up
• Daily data and field note reduction, QA / QC field data, etc.
• Perform boundary calculations for Records of Survey and Subdivision Plats
• Draft Plats and Surveys utilizing Civil 3D to company standards
• Research and preparation of boundary descriptions
• Perform calculations that may be needed for construction
• Field work will be required, as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Ability to navigate various locations and settings of the company
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to safely operate a vehicle and able to operate company owned vehicles, including ATVs
