Summary:
The Certified Surgical Technologist assists in the delivery of safe, quality patient care to the surgical patient under the supervision of a physician or RN. The CST assures the availability of functioning, clean/sterile equipment for scheduled procedures. The Surgical Technician may be assigned to an RN scrub nurse and together they will scrub on designated cases
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CPR
- Certified Surgical Tech certification required.
- Graduate of surgical tech program
- Either CST, LVN, or RN license in state of employment
