Principal/Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct hydrographic surveys in support of dredging and fill.
• Install and maintain accuracy of instrumentation on barges and/or vessels.
• Participate in pre-survey planning meetings with Marine Team.
• Sets up, adjusts, and operates survey equipment in order to measure distances, elevations, and angles.
• Coordinating maintenance and repairs of survey equipment.
• Gathers survey data utilizing positioning and motion components.
• Collects and processes data though the use of Real-Time Kinematic Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers and electronic tide gauges.
• Demonstrate functional knowledge of survey industry standards and CAD products or TBC.
• Strong computer skills.
• Maintain log of daily activities for as-built.
• Prepares field notes and drawings.
• CAD design software such as GIS, 3D, Highway or Railroad design, Building design and Graphic Imaging.
• Coordinate with our IT Department to deploy on-going software updates for AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Develop Civil 3D tools and refinements to facilitate CAD production companywide.
• Plan sheet production using Civil 3D and AutoCAD for projects companywide.
• Employ Civil 3D to develop complete corridor models and utility networks.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

• Previous relevant surveying construction experience, minimum 10 years of heavy construction experience
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English or Spanish, due to nature of job
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Must work well under pressure
• Valid driver's license
• 3D Modeling and export for machine control and survey stakeout
