A day in the life.

Marsh McLennan Agency is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager to join our Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will guide technical strategy and solutioning discussions, as well as overseeing the development and implementation of innovative products and solutions. You will have a deep understanding of the existing products and solutions, ensuring alignment with the architectural vision, while driving the strategic direction of a suite of products. About half of an average day might be focused on the technical aspects, requiring a deep technical understanding of the products and solutions, another 30% on product delivery, and the remaining 20% on Stakeholder engagement and Relationship building. This action-oriented, hands-on role requires strong prioritization and organizational skills, as well as the ability to identify and address gaps and opportunities for improvement proactively.

The responsibilities of this role include managing a suite of Data-related products, overseeing their design, development, implementation, and ongoing support. The role also involves leading a team of Business Analysts, SCRUM Masters, and/or Technical Product Owners in the Data & Analytics space. The person in this role will work closely with Project and Program Managers, Development Teams, Scrum Masters, and Data Architects to manage projects from end-to-end, ensuring on-time delivery and quality assurance. Collaboration with cross-team initiatives, managing product backlogs, leading planning across multiple Data Initiatives, and collaborating with Release Management teams are also part of the responsibilities. Staying up to date with industry trends and technologies, introducing innovation, and improving operational efficiency are important aspects of the role. Additionally, the person will serve as a point of contact for related projects/programs, assign tasks, monitor progress, and allocate resources.

In this role, we will count on you to:

  • Manage a suite of Data-related products at the intersection of business, technology, and architecture: ensuring alignment with the Business, Architecture, and Platform strategies.
  • Oversee the design, development, implementation, and ongoing support and maintenance of a suite of products and solutions.
  • Lead a growing team of Business Analysts, SCRUM Masters, and/or Technical Product Owners in the Data & Analytics space.
  • Work with Project and Program Managers, Development Teams, Scrum Masters and Data Architects, manage projects from end-to-end per plan to ensure on-time delivery, provide day-to-day coordination, and quality assurance for tasks.
  • Collaborate on cross-team initiatives, including Team Leads, Technical Project Managers, Enterprise Architects, and Business experts.
  • Manage product backlogs, ensuring a stream of ideas and solutions during product development initiatives, ensuring high-quality data and introducing innovation and improved operational efficiency.
  • Lead PI and Solution Delivery Planning across multiple Data Initiatives
  • Collaborate with Release Management teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies, introducing innovation and improving operational efficiency.
  • Point of contact across related projects/programs, initiatives & established milestones; in addition to assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and resource allocations.

We'd love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Product Manager, or similar.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively run a team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Technical proficiency and the ability to have foundational conversations with both business and technical teams.
  • Ability to drive definition of project scope, develop detailed project plans and facilitate the collection of engineering, operational and business requirements.
  • Experience in capacity planning and resource allocation.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management frameworks.
  • Ability to align with technology standards and architectural vision.
  • Strong creative solutioning, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of data architecture and integration.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Understanding of insurance industry products and solutions.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $85,230.00-$149,205.00 The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
