Job Details:

This position is responsible for monitoring temperature and insuring products have passed all critical control points while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Schedule: 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, and some Saturdays | 2:00pm - 11:00pm)

Starting pay rate: $16.70/hour

Summary:

1. MUST BE RESPONSILE FOR ACCURACY, LEGIBILITYH, FREQUENCY OF CHECKS AND FINAL PLACEMENT OF DAILY PAPERWORK.

2. MUST BE ABLE TO READY AND USE THERMOMETER.

3. MUST BE ABLE TO INSERT THE THERMOMETER PROBE INTO THICKEST PORTION OF THE PRODUCT.

4. MUST BE ABLE TO RECORD TIME AND TEMPERATURE READING IMMEDIATELY AND CONTINUOUSLY TAKE TEMPS.

5. TEMPERATURE MUST BE MAINTAINED AND RECORDED TO ENSURE ADEQUATE CERTIFICATION OF PROCESS CONTROL.

Position Requires:

1. MUST BE ABLE TO PERFORM SIMPLE MATH FOR STATISTICAL PROCESS CONTROL.

2. MUST UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW HACCP GUIDELINES AND PLANT PROCEDURES WHILE MONITORING PRODUCT TEMPERATURES.

3. MUST BE ABLE TO VERBALLY COMMUNICATE WELL WITH CHILL OPERATORS, LEADS AND SUPERVISORS.

4. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN ROOM TEMPERATURES FROM 45 TO 85 DEGREES F.

5. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WITHOUT DIRECT SUPERVISON.

6. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED BY SUPERVISOR.

7. MAY BE SUBJECT TO ROTATION.

8. MUST ABIDE BY ALL DEPTARTMENT SAFETY RULES.

This facility accepts rehires after 365 days and only if the applicant has not worked more than two previous times for Tyson. Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
