What will you be doing?
The Vice President, Global Tax will lead and oversee all aspects of our Tax function, including international and domestic tax operations, tax strategy, compliance, reporting, and planning to ensure regulatory compliance. This role requires strong leadership, extensive international and domestic tax knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. The Vice President, Global Tax will ensure compliance with state, federal, and international tax law through a series of systems and system controls that are designed to ensure accurate, timely reporting. The role is also responsible for monitoring current and impending changes to tax regulation and make the appropriate updates to policies and strategies. The Vice President, Global Tax reports to the Chief Accounting Officer.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage tax matters and develop tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities, support business growth, and oversee compliance across our global operations.
- Identify opportunities for tax saving and optimization in various regions, including transfer pricing, tax incentives, and international tax planning.
- Oversee compliance with all tax laws and regulations in every jurisdiction where Circana operates.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management, and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
- Ensure accurate, timely filing of domestic and international tax returns and other business-related filings.
- Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
- Identify and anticipate tax risks and drive solutions that resolve existing and mitigate future tax risk.
- Lead Tax process transformation projects, including identifying and implementing improvements to promote efficiencies.
- Participate in M&A activity, as needed.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, career development, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Controllership, Treasury, FP&A, and Legal to ensure a cohesive approach to tax matters.
- Manage accounting to support partner tax receivables balances associated with withholding and composite taxes and communicate balances to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum of 12+ years of comparable experience in large multi-national U.S. public company, and/or "Big 4" public accounting firm with at least 5 years in a leadership role at a public company or public accounting firm.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree or certification in Taxation is a plus.
- CPA required.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. international tax concepts (GILTI, BEAT, FDII, Subpart F Income, foreign tax credits, earnings and profits, etc.).
- Advanced experience in U.S. GAAP and accounting for income taxes.
- Experience with tax technology solutions, such as data visualizations, ERP systems, and databases.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving ability, and ability to work with various levels of management.
- Detail oriented, highly organized and possess a strong work ethic.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $180,000-$240,000.
