Warehouse Supervisor- 1st Shift

Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Warehouse Supervisor.

Position type: Contract to hire
Location: Syracuse, New York
Job/ Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, 1st shift hours

As a Warehouse Supervisor you will:

  • Assisting in the leadership, vision, direction and focus to the purchasing and shipping/receiving materials control functions.
  • Supervising and assisting in daily warehouse and shipping functions/areas.
  • Overseeing, filling, and shipping customer service orders and satisfying internal shipping requirements.
  • Ensures accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation, receiving incoming material, and routing to appropriate area or personnel, filling work orders, packaging assemblies and receiving into finished goods, ensuring inventory transactions are accurately logged and overseeing cycle counts and reconciliation activities.
  • Measures and reports the effectiveness of departmental activities; developing and maintaining warehouse department work instructions and procedures for all tasks.
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet warehouse demands as dictated by production schedules and workflow; ensure changes to procedures are codified as necessary.
  • Recommends measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of department and associates and equipment performance.
  • Continuously improves warehouse operations using contemporary best warehousing practices.
  • Communicates all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to the appropriate parties.
  • Assists in the planning of the warehouse layout and space requirements to prevent loss or damage and to achieve full warehouse optimization.
  • Training warehouse associates regarding operations, security, and safety in order to maintain a safe and effective working environment.
  • Promoting a safe and harmonious work environment by maintaining compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and all company policies.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • 5+ years of experience in warehousing in a manufacturing environment, preferably in high volume industry
  • 2+ years of supervisory or lead role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in high volume industry
  • High School Degree or associate degree in business or related field
  • Knowledge of general computer functions such as Microsoft Office programs, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Knowledge related to warehouse and materials flow operations.
  • Advanced problem safety sensitivity: the ability to recognize a safety issue or potential safety issue.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $23 - $30 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

This position leads the warehouse operations in all facets of shipping, receiving, storage and reconciliation of full goods and raw materials necessary to support the company's goals.
