The Integrated Water Management (IWM) Group is looking for a Water Resource Engineer in our San Francisco, CA office. As a Water Resource Engineer, you will have the opportunity to leverage your technical expertise, local relationships and knowledge on challenging projects that will offer an opportunity to grow your career. As a part of the Integrated Water Management team, you also will support projects across North America to provide technical support as needed. The position will consist of serving as technical lead and assisting with Managing project, while supporting business development and client relationship management. Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serving as technical lead to develop approach, implement projects, and present to clients and stakeholders
  • Preparing technical modeling and analysis, reports, and presentations
  • Preparing construction drawings and specifications
  • Mentoring staff
  • Serving as assistant project manager, assisting with project budgets and schedules
The ideal candidate would have the following experience/skill set:
  • Proven experience preparing complex engineering analysis and planning
  • Experience in developing project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Strong technical writing skills; grant and proposal writing experience, a plus
  • Must be able to work on multiple assignments simultaneously; and have strong organizational, problem solving, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Expertise using Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
  • Experience with HEC-RAS modeling software (1D-2D)
  • Experience with hydrologic analyses and modeling
  • Proven skills in GIS applications and AutoCAD experience, a plus
  • Client management experience
  • Experience working with client interface
  • Experience mentoring staff
  • Experience in project delivery
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS in Engineering (Environmental, Civil, or similar) Masters preferred
  • Current California Civil PE License or ability to obtain one in a year after hire
  • 5-8 years of experience with a focus on public drainage, and flood control projects, including planning, analysis, modeling, design and construction phases.

Salary Range $104,000-$56,000 based on experience
